MISSION

Our Mission – The Kent Magazine with a mission

A magazine in Kent with purpose, passion, and community at its heart.

The Kent Review is an independent, not-for-profit Kent magazine created to celebrate the people, places, and stories that make our county so special.

The Kent Review is published quarterly in print and online, our mission goes beyond lifestyle features, we aim to make a tangible difference through charity partnerships, community storytelling, and purposeful publishing.

A Not-for-Profit Kent Magazine

Unlike many lifestyle titles, The Kent Review was founded on a simple idea: that a magazine in Kent could both inform and inspire while giving something meaningful back.

We proudly donate a proportion of pre-tax profits to local charities every year and regularly support fundraising events that directly benefit Kent’s communities.
From auctioning our front cover to hosting online charity auctions and featuring awareness campaigns for local causes, we use our platform to raise funds and visibility where it matters most.

Supporting Kent’s Community

As a trusted Kent lifestyle magazine, we believe in shining a light on the positive, the local makers, family-run businesses, independent restaurants, and community projects that make Kent thrive.
Through thoughtful storytelling and editorial coverage, we connect readers with the people shaping life across our county, from Canterbury and Folkestone to Tunbridge Wells and beyond.

Every issue of The Kent Review blends local insight, culture, food and drink, travel, and wellbeing with a strong sense of community purpose.

We’re proud to be known not just as a Kent magazine, but as one that champions kindness, collaboration, and genuine connection.

Charity, Collaboration and Change

Our work doesn’t stop at the page.

The Kent Review organises fundraising campaigns and charity partnerships, from our front-cover charity auctions to community-led events such as Miles for Maya and Bids for Brave Maya, which bring together local businesses, readers, and residents in support of Kent families in need.

We believe that a magazine in Kent should be more than a publication,  it should be a platform for progress, creativity, and compassion.

Why We Exist

The Kent Review exists to celebrate Kent’s beauty, creativity, and generosity, while giving back to the very community that inspires our pages.

Every story we publish, every issue we print, and every partnership we build is guided by that purpose.

We are proud to be a Kent magazine with heart,  an independent voice for good, created not for profit, but for people.
