Award Winning Thrive Homecare Celebrates First Birthday with Cakes for Clients and New Family Offer

Thrive Homecare is celebrating its first birthday after a year of award recognition, steady growth, and a continued focus on improving wellbeing and quality of life for older people across Kent. Founded in 2025, the Canterbury based homecare provider has built its approach around relationship-centred support, continuity and companionship, helping people ‘Live Life in Colour’ through meaningful connection and personalised support at home.

To mark the occasion, every client and carer has received a specially made Thrive birthday cupcake, complete with signature ‘Tiki the toucan’ in icing form. The celebrations reflect what has been at the heart of Thrive since day one, that the carers are highly valued members of the team and support is not only consistent and practical, but also about genuine human connection.

The milestone follows recent recognition for Co-founder and CEO Chris Gage, who received a Revival Community Award in acknowledgement of Thrive’s contribution to Canterbury community support and wellbeing across the region.

Chris Gage said: “Reaching our first birthday feels incredibly meaningful. Thrive was created to do things differently, to build real relationships, to focus on wellbeing as much as support and to really help older and vulnerable people to thrive. This milestone belongs to every person we support, every family we work alongside and every colleague who brings that approach to life every day.”

To celebrate, Thrive Homecare is also launching a limited time offer giving new clients 25% off their first month of support. Families can access the offer using the code THRIVEIS1, redeemable from May 2026 until 31st August 2026. The offer is designed to make it easier for families to take that first step, whether starting with a little companionship once a week or putting more comprehensive support in place.

The organisation reports steady growth across its first year, supporting families across Canterbury, Ashford and surrounding areas, while continuing to expand its team and strengthen the focus on consistency, connection and wellbeing. Georgina Harman joined as a Health & Wellbeing Associate recently. “What makes me proud to be part of Thrive is that they value each person and empower us, so we can provide support tailored to every individual. This is a company that truly cares - and does the little things that make the biggest difference.”

One example of Thrive’s impact is the support provided to Audrey (name changed for privacy), a local resident who experienced a fall that disrupted her confidence and sense of safety. Audrey was determined to remain living in her own home, particularly because her beloved cat is central to her daily life and emotional wellbeing. With tailored and consistent daily visits from Thrive Homecare, Audrey has regained confidence in daily activities, re-established her routines, and is able to remain in her home alongside her cat. Her family has reported greater peace of mind knowing she is not only supported practically, but also emotionally and in a way that respects what matters most to her.
