Q&A with Karoly, Founder of Skin by Karoly

Q: Karoly, tell us a bit about your background and what inspired you to launch Skin by Karoly?

A: My background is in advanced aesthetic treatments, and I’ve always had a passion for skincare that goes beyond the surface. I wanted to create a space where results-driven technology meets personalised care. Skin by Karoly is all about skin health, confidence, and using the best innovations to achieve long-term radiance.

Q: One of your signature treatments is stem cell infusion. Can you explain what that is, and why it’s so effective?

A: Stem cell infusion involves applying Biosomes and ethically sourced human stem cell serums to the skin—usually after a form of dermal stimulation like microneedling. Stem cells are packed with growth factors, amino acids, and peptides that help repair tissue, reduce inflammation, and boost collagen. It’s like giving your skin a reset button.

Q: Who is stem cell infusion suitable for?

A: Almost anyone looking to improve their skin tone, texture, or elasticity. It’s especially effective for mature skin, scarring, sun damage, or post-inflammatory pigmentation. We always assess each client’s skin before treatment to tailor it safely and effectively.

Q: You also offer microneedling—how does that work, and what are the benefits?

A: Microneedling creates tiny micro-injuries in the skin using fine needles. This triggers the body’s natural healing response, leading to increased collagen and elastin production. It helps with fine lines, scarring, large pores, and overall rejuvenation. When combined with stem cell infusion, the results can be incredible.

Q: Does microneedling hurt? What’s the downtime like?

A: Most clients say it feels like a relaxing facial. We use a numbing cream beforehand to keep you comfortable. You’ll be a bit red for 24–48 hours, like a mild sunburn. But the glow that follows? Totally worth it.

Q: How often do you recommend these treatments?

A: It depends on your goals. For microneedling, I usually recommend a course of 3–6 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart. For stem cell infusion, it can be standalone or combined with other treatments for enhanced results. We always customise your treatment plan.

Q: If someone’s just starting out on their skincare journey, what’s your best piece of advice?

A: Keep it simple. A good cleanser, a hydrating serum, SPF every single day — and consistency! No need to follow every trend. Know your skin type, get professional advice, and build from there.

Q: Lastly, what makes Skin by Karoly different?

A: I genuinely care about the long-term results and confidence of every client. It’s not a conveyor belt of treatments here — I tailor every session and I never recommend anything I wouldn’t do myself. It’s skin therapy, not just skincare.
