Amici Ashford, a taste of Italy from home

I have always been obsessed with Italy , I think it stems back to spending many childhood evenings in a local Italian restaurant, so naturally I was delighted to be asked to review @amici_ashford in Ashford today.

Amici is a family run authentic Italian restaurant serving delicious home-made food using only the finest ingredients combined with local fresh produce.

I was lucky enough to try the gamberi all ' aglio, sauteed king prawns in white wine garlic and chilli butter served with ciabatta, this was so flavourful with the perfect balance of chilli.

For main i tried the Ravioli carne n'duja which is meat filled ravioli, spicy n'duja, white wine, rosemary, garlic and fennel seeds. This really is an authentic italian dish, fennel seeds work well with the white wine garlic rosemary and tomato sauce and a perfect pairing with n'duja which adds a spicy element to the dish. For dessert i had of course... Amici's much loved tiramisu, and now i know why !

Amici are open for takeaways from 5pm on a Friday and Saturday ( collection only ). With valentines day around the corner this would be a fantastic way to celebrate . To place an order email mdeidda1969@gmail.com
