Giggling Squid Maidstone - best value chain, first rate Thai food

We sampled the menu at the new giggling squid in Maidstone. Thai food is a favourite with me and not always easy to get right. The decor in this place is amazing despite being a chain it very much has a more exclusive feel . I had a “Me time margarita” which was very refreshing the sugared turmeric glass gave a spicy kick. To start with the Sweet Jicama Salad. Jicama (a crunchy, sweet type of potato), juicy star fruit, roasted coconut and crispy tofu croutons with fresh mint and coriander. A light, fresh crunchy salad with delicate dressing. We also sampled the classic salt and pepper squid , thick pieces of squid with a light batter cooked to perfection . For mains we tried the popular Crying beef which is very theatrical sizzling to the table.. it smells amazing. Good quality steak, Nicely cooked delicious flavours. Our favourite though was the aptly named melting beef beautiful delicate flavours it was absolutely delicious and we would highly recommend. The coconut Rice was also cooked perfectly sticky and light. Overall it is first rate Thai food at an affordable prices. The decor is Beautiful which followed through to the staff’s uniforms and menus.
