Mele e Pere, Brewer Street, Soho

A little slice of Italy beneath the streets of Soho. Vermouth led cocktails, soulful plates and slow evenings done properly at Mele e Pere.

Tucked beneath Mele e Pere on Soho’s Brewer Street, this intimate vermouth bar is a nod to Italian drinking culture. Low lit, relaxed and casual but elegant, it is a space designed for slow sipping and conversation, where vermouth takes centre stage and is treated with the reverence it deserves.

Home to one of London’s most impressive vermouth selections, the bar showcases both classic styles and house made blends infused with over twenty botanicals. Whether served neat, over ice, or woven into beautifully balanced cocktails, each drink highlights the depth, complexity and versatility of vermouth.

Food is equally comforting and full of soul. Fried olives stuffed with nduja arrive hot and moreish, followed by rich duck ragù and silky pappardelle verdi al tartufo.

True Neapolitan style pizzas come with that perfect blistered base, before a nostalgic dessert of slow roasted pineapple with vanilla ice cream rounds things off beautifully.

The overall experience feels transportive, a little slice of Italy in the heart of Soho. It is indulgent without being heavy, sophisticated without trying too hard.

Perfect for aperitivo hour, pre theatre drinks or a long, unhurried evening at the bar, Mele e Pere rewards curiosity. Ask the team to guide you through their vermouth selection, it is very much an experience in itself.

What to drink

The Mele e Pere Spritz is an elegant aperitivo, combining vermouth with hibiscus and prosecco for something floral, fresh and lightly bitter. The Isola d’Elba leans more indulgent, with tropical notes of rum, coconut and pineapple, while the Never Gonna Lychee Go pairs sacred amber vermouth with mandarin and lychee for a playful, aromatic finish. For purists, the Mele e Pere Negroni is a standout, their confident, house led twist on the classic.
